The perfect non-invasive way to reduce post acne scarring, improve the appearance of stretch marks and boost your skin for a instant more youthful, dewy and radiant glow.

Microneedling

Treatment time: 30-40 mins

Cost: £70

What Is Micro-needling?

Micro-needling (also referred to as Collagen Induction Therapy) is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that works by stimulating the production of new collagen in the skin.

This is achieved by puncturing the upper dermis with sterilized microscopic needles.

The treatment utilises the skins ability to heal itself, in turn triggering the production of new collagen creating creates smoother, firmer, more toned skin. In addition to treating pores, fine wrinkles, loss of elasticity, minor scarring (including acne scarring) and sun damage it also enables topical products to penetrate deeper into the skin, increasing their effectiveness.

Micro-needling is less expensive than laser treatments, which can cost about four times as much.

Most people get micro-needling on the face, but it can also be carried out on other parts of the body, such as your stomach or thighs to target the same issues.

How Does Microneedling Work?

Microneedling takes advantage of the skin’s self-repair process by creating thousands of precise micro-injuries to the upper dermis. This triggers new collagen synthesis without causing new scar tissue formation.

Collagen is a protein that gives our skin its structure, working like a netting to hold skin cells together. It also gives skin a smooth and youthful appearance, as we have it in abundance when we are young but as we age, collagen starts to breakdown, which can lead to fine lines and wrinkles.

Your face will be prepared with a thorough cleanse and tone before specifically selected serum based on your skins needs is applied to the skin throughout the treatment and the tiny, sterilised needles used in the procedure prick the skin to create microscopic channels in the upper dermis that stimulate that healing process. Using the derma pen I use stokes, circles and stamping movements on the treatment area. Then, as the skin begins to repair itself it basically turbo-charges the body’s natural ability to produce collagen and elastin resulting in improved skin texture, reduction in the appearance of scars and creates an overall fresher and more youthful tone to the face.
