What is Filler Dissolve?
Hyaluronidase can be injected to remove dermal fillers when they have had any kind of undesirable outcome e.g. lumps, uneven appearance or even migration of the filler to a nearby area. Hyaluronidase (also referred to a Hyalase) is an enzyme that acts as a dispersion agent by breaking down hyaluronic acid through hydrolysis. It’s a naturally-occurring enzyme that is purified to dissolve dermal fillers.
It is the best treatment for dissolving lip filler and reducing any lumps or puffiness associated with dermal filler in the face or body.
How does Filler Dissolve work?
Dissolving filler is a very simple procedure. After the application of numbing cream to the target area around 1-6 injections of hyaluronidase is administered, after being diluted with saline, into the area where the filler needs to be dissolved. However, to proceed with this treatment a patch test on your forearm below your elbow is required beforehand as there is a risk of reaction and therefore the overall treatment time can take up an hour.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
If a reaction to the patch test occurs then the filler dissolve cannot go ahead.
There is no real downtime to this procedure as it is a removal procedure therefore not a case where the longevity of a treatment needs protecting, but aftercare is advised just to be on the safe side.
