How Does Dermaplaning Work?
Dermaplaning works to promote cellular renewal, increase product absorption and efficiency, making make-up application flawless. It is a gentle pain-free exfoliation of the facial skin using a small blade to glide across the surface of the face to skim dead skin cells and vellus hair (also referred to as peach fuzz)
Because of its light tone and fine texture Vellus hair is unresponsive to many laser hair removal systems. Similarly waxing or depilating this area of the face can be brutal and cause in growing hairs. Dermaplaning however is a safe, careful, gentle and non-invasive method for the removal of these fine hairs which will not grow back any thicker or darker in colour.
My deluxe dermaplaning process involves double cleansing, toning, removing the dead skin cells and vellus hair, then cleaning and cleansing again. The treatment is carried out carefully and progressively until the whole face has been treated.
Finally, I finish your treatment with a face mask followed by a specific serum based on your skins needs after my analysis.
You can combine dermaplaning with other facial treatments such as a chemical peel and microneedling, which I offer as bundles to reduce the overall cost.

What is the benefit of combining treatments such as chemical peel with dermaplaning?
By removing this initial layer of dead skin cells from the dermaplaning, a chemical peel is able to penetrate deeper into the dermis resulting in a more effective treatment. promoting new skin growth and targeting problems such as aging, sun spots and environmental damage. The combination of dermaplaning and a chemical peel leaves the skin even more refreshed and rejuvenated.
