What Are Facial Contouring Fillers?
Facial contouring fillers are injectable dermal fillers designed to sculpt, shape, and define the natural structure of the face -specifically the chin, jawline, and cheeks. These fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally found in the body that helps retain moisture and volume in the skin.
Over time, the face can lose its natural definition due to ageing, weight changes, or genetics. By carefully placing filler into strategic areas, we can restore volume, enhance symmetry, and create a more contoured, youthful appearance - all without surgery.
This treatment offers natural-looking results that can subtly enhance your features or dramatically redefine your profile, depending on your personal goals.
Benefits Of Dermal Fillers
How Do Facial Fillers Work?
Facial contouring fillers work by injecting hyaluronic acid beneath the skin using ultra-fine needles. This instantly adds volume, enhances structure, and smooths out deep lines or hollow areas. When placed in the chin and jawline, fillers can improve facial harmony, define the lower face, and reduce the appearance of jowls. When used in the cheeks, they lift and rejuvenate the mid-face, creating a more refreshed, youthful look.
Results are visible immediately and continue to settle over 2–4 weeks for optimal effect. Because hyaluronic acid is safely broken down by the body over time, results are temporary - but long-lasting, and very low-risk when administered correctly.
IMPORTANT NOTES
Please arrive at your appointment without makeup. Do not apply makeup for 24 hours afterward to minimise infection risk.
There is minimal downtime, but for best results and safe healing, please avoid the following for 24 hours after treatment:
-
Touching or pressing the area
-
Applying makeup
-
Excessive heat or sweating (gym, sunbeds, saunas, steam rooms, swimming)
-
Alcohol
Avoid placing pressure on the area for 7 days post-treatment to allow the filler to settle properly.
