What is a Baby Botox?

Baby Botox is a term used to describe using smaller doses of Botox than is typical to treat a given area. The result is a softening of the muscle in the face, but the client retains movement. This method is used to soften and prevent wrinkles and fine lines without giving you the "Frozen Look" its a more natural way to look more youthful.

How Does The Baby Botox Facial Work?

The baby botox facial works by using a hydra stamp working across the whole of the face injecting small doses of Botulin toxin along with the hyaluronic acid. That in turn, reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles and preventing new ones appearing to produce a look that is fresh and more youthful. The effects will begin to appear within 2-7 days of the treatment with the maximum effect at around 2-3 weeks.

You are can carry on with your daily activities right after the procedure. 

 

IMPORTANT NOTES:

After care advice includes avoiding exercise for 24 hours following, and do not bend over, lie flat or push on the injections site for 4 hours.

Also, no make-up, saunas or steam rooms for 24 hours.

It is also advised that you do not take any medication that thins the blood for several days prior to your treatment as this can increases the risk of bruising.

The Baby Botox facial is not suitable for you if;

  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding

  • Have hypertrophic or keloid scarring at the specific injection site

  • Have active dermatosis in the injection area

  • Have any active infection in treatment area

  • Suffer milk allergies

  • Have had periocular or ocular surgery in the last 6 months

  • Uncontrolled systematic conditions

  • Gross motor weakness in the treatment area i.e. stroke or bell’s palsy 

  • Have any sensitivity or allergies to botulinum toxins or its constituents i.e lactose sodium succinate human albumin

What is the downtime?

There is no downtime to this treatment though aftercare is advised.

 

Are there any side effects?

Common side effects can include; headache, minor bruising, mild swelling/redness for up to 48 hours post treatment.

Less common side effects can include; flu-like symptoms, nausea, facial pain and redness. 

 

Is the treatment painful?

The facial using a hydra stamp to administered the product although not painful it can be uncomfortable and most patients tolerate it very well. 

 

Will I see immediate results?

It varies from person to person, but you can expect to see the results within 7 – 14 days as the muscle beneath the skin start to smooth. 

 

How long does the Baby Botox facial last?

Each person responds differently but typically speaking, baby botox last between 3 to 4 months before the relaxing effect on the muscle starts to wear off.
